    16 Марта 2017

Gazpromneft-Aero, the aviation-fuel business operator of Gazprom Neft, and SCAT Airlines of Kazakhstan entered into a new agreement to refuel the carrier’s regular flights at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport (Egypt). The one-year contract can also be extended to other Egyptian airports. This agreement has allowed Gazpromneft-Aero to resume its refueling operations in Egypt for the first time since December 2015.

Gazpromneft-Aero has been refueling its customers in Egypt since 2009 in partnership with the national aviation fuel supplier. The total volume of refueling from 2009 to 2015 exceeded 140 thousand tons.

Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport has become the fifth airport where Gazpromneft-Aero and SCAT cooperate. Today, the company supplies fuel for the planes of the carrier at the international airports of Sanya (China), Goa (India), Phuket and Samoa (Thailand).

Vladimir Egorov, the CEO of Gazpromneft-Aero, said: “The cooperation with SCAT has allowed Gazpromneft-Aero to strengthen its positions in some of the most popular tourist destinations. Ahead of the summer season, we are fully prepared to refuel Russian and foreign airlines in Egyptian airports. We expect that the tourist traffic to this country will increase, and the partnerships with national oil companies will allow us to offer our customers the best possible fuel prices as well as timely refueling in more than 60 countries worldwide”.

Press office of SCAT Airlines commented: “SCAT has been cooperating with Gazpromneft-Aero since 2016. During this short period, Gazpromneft-Aero has proved to be a reliable partner, timely and efficiently supplying fuel to our aircraft. Today, Gazpromneft-Aero is SCAT’s sole aviation fuel supplier in Egypt, Thailand, China and Vietnam. We appreciate our successful work together and we are looking forward to the further cooperation and development of our route network with Gazpromneft-Aero”.
