In 2011 and 2012, the company was a General Sponsor of the International Air Transport Forum in Ulyanovsk. The IAFT-2012 program featured a discussion of the most pressing issues related to development of the aviation industry: measures of state support for the aircraft-engineering industry, issues of production cooperation and subcontracting, aircraft maintenance and repair, personnel training, regional and cargo air carriage and many others.

The agreement concluded with the Regional Government also served as a starting point for a joint project between Gazpromneft – Aero and the Ulyanovsk Higher School of Civil Aviation, providing for the development of educational program as well as vocational training in the field of aviation-fuel supply. The primary goal of cooperation encompasses the establishment of an instructional base for vocational training and advanced training for industry specialists, including Gazpromneft – Aero employees, as well as the conducting of joint scientific and research work and the development of educational materials.

Gazpromneft – Aero was the official fuel supplier of the aerobatic teams participating in demonstration flights as part of the MAKS-2009, MAKS-2011 and MAKS-2013 International Aerospace Shows traditionally held in the town of Zhukovksy, Moscow Region. MAKS provides a comprehensive view of the priorities and achievements of enterprises representing the Russian aerospace industry. MAKS is the only place where you can see developmental prototypes of aircraft and weapons systems as well as experimental facilities that may not be demonstrated abroad for a number of reasons.

Gazpromneft – Aero provides fuelling services to the following leading aerobatic teams: “Russian Knights”, “Swifts” (“Strizhi”), “Falcons of Russia”, “Rus”, “Baltic Bees” (Latvia) and others.
